MorningQuest ("the App") is developed by materialchain ("we", "us"). We designed MorningQuest to be privacy-first. This policy explains what data the App handles and how.
Your habit configuration, daily sessions, streaks, and achievements are stored locally on your device and shared between your iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple's on-device frameworks (App Groups and Watch Connectivity). This data is not sent to any server we operate and is not accessible to us.
With your permission, the App reads sleep data from Apple Health (HealthKit) solely to detect your actual wake-up time and schedule your morning reminder at the right moment. This data is processed entirely on your device, is never transmitted off the device, and is never used for advertising. You can revoke this permission at any time in the Health app or iOS Settings. The App does not write any data to Apple Health.
The App schedules local notifications (reminders and habit tips) on your device. These are generated locally and do not involve any external server.
The App uses TelemetryDeck to collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (such as how often activities are started or completed and which achievements are unlocked). TelemetryDeck is designed to be privacy-compliant: it does not collect personal information, does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), and does not track you across apps or websites. No data collected is linked to your identity.
The App displays banner ads provided by Google AdMob to keep the App free. These ads may be personalized using your device's advertising identifier (IDFA). On first use, the App asks for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you allow tracking, Google may use the advertising identifier to show ads relevant to you and to measure ad performance, which can include linking your activity across other apps and websites. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalized. You can change this choice at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. For details on how Google handles this data, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children. No personal data is collected from any user.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
